“Caleb was my elementary school crush. So much so, that I drew a heart around his yearbook picture from the third grade. I guess after moving on to the 6th grade, I had forgotten all about Caleb as we went to different middle schools and high schools. Graduation came and went as both of us were living our separate lives. Now, fast forward to September 21, 2016; this is a really important date. This is the day that Caleb reached out to me and we reconnected. We texted and got to catch up a little bit so I invited him to one of our Chi Alpha meetings, and boy was I nervous. After service, the group usually makes their way into the gym to play dodgeball, but instead Caleb and I sat on that gym floor and talked the entire night away. I walked away from that night knowing. I knew from the moment we reconnected. It wasn’t love at first sight, it was more of familiarity. Like: oh hello, it’s you. It’s going to be you.”

“Fast forward again to July 16th, 2017; now this is really one of the best days of my life. Because my fiancé asked me to marry him on the most beautiful beach, with the most beautiful ring as our families were there to celebrate with us. I love this sweet, selfless, funny, loving man more than any words I could ever say. He was once my childhood crush, but now he’s the man of my dreams, the man I have prayed for, and I can’t wait to spend forever with him.”
